Eric, the owner has over 37 years of mechanical expertise and a commitment to caring for your pride and joy from pick up to drop off. Eric is known by his family, friends and fellow bikers for his keen eye (some of us would say picky or obsessive), his immaculate bikes and the fact that he is an exceptional mechanic, basically he can fix anything with an engine but motorbikes are his passion. After 37 years in the trade, he thought it was time to slow down a bit and take life a bit easier, obviously motorbikes were never not going to be a part of his future hence ETS Motorbike Transport was born.

We understand that whether you’re a biker or a motorcycle dealer, your motorcycle is valuable and deserves to be handled with care, knowledge and attention to detail. Our focus is on providing safe, professional motorcycle transport with realistic scheduling, clear communication and reliable service from collection through to delivery.
Eric is a qualified motorcycle mechanic with over 37 years’ experience in the trade as a mechanic and a lifelong passion for motorcycles. Every bike is handled with genuine care, knowledge and attention to detail by someone who understands motorcycles inside and out.
All transport is carried out using a full-height LWB Mercedes Sprinter, purpose-built for secure and professional motorcycle transportation.
Your motorcycle is secured using a wheel chock, tyre fixing system, tie downs and brake locks for added safety during transit. Our strap system is designed so straps do not come into contact with bodywork, helping to prevent damage often associated with conventional strapping methods. We do not compress the suspension.
We carry specialist Motorcycles in Transit insurance up to £30,000 with higher cover available where required. Our vehicles are GPS tracked and remain unbranded for additional security.
We offer both Standard and Premium transport services depending on the level of scheduling flexibility and communication required.

Same day or next day transport may occasionally be available depending on route availability and existing bookings. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way during your bike’s collection and delivery. You can also follow our journey in real time using our live tracker, which lasts until your transportation is complete.
Regardless of the service selected, every motorcycle is transported with the same high standards of care, professionalism and attention to detail. The difference between Standard and Premium services relates to scheduling flexibility, communication and additional administration, never the level of care given to your motorcycle.

Yes, it will be if we that is arranged at the time of booking, on our planned route or you have chosen our 'premium' service.
Yes, if you book our premium service. The date and time can be agreed at the time of booking and payment so you will know exactly when your motorbike is being collected and delivered to you. There will be no big waits or wondering what day it will arrive.
Eric, mainly as he is the owner and driver and the face of ETS Motorbike Transport. We do not outsource although it could be Emma (Eric's wife and also a fellow biker) who helps with the administration side of things like making the phone calls and route planning, basically Emma runs the office side of things.
We offer motorcycle recovery within a 30-mile driving radius of Bury St Edmunds. Our van is fitted with a winch, allowing us to safely load motorcycles with a flat tyre or those that are not free-wheeling.
This service operates during our advertised working hours and is subject to Eric’s availability (i.e. not already on another delivery or recovery). If we are able to assist outside of these hours, we will of course take the call and come out to help.
Yes, our van is fully kitted out with a winch just in case you have an off or a flat tyre and need us to come out and collect your motorcycle. Our recovery service radius is up to 30 miles from Bury St Edmunds and is offered during working hours as advertised on our website is subject to Eric being available ie not on another delivery or recovery.
Yes we do. We have a full height van which will transport two quad bikes at a time (depending on their size). Please ask for a quote.
Not all the transport providers you get on these sites are professional motorcycle and quad bike transporters and some 'man with a van' services do not hold the correct insurances to specifically transport motorcycles. We have hire and reward insurance, goods in transit up to 30k (motorcycle specific) and public liability up to 1 million. So we take the business of transporting your pride and joy seriously and will ensure it's looked after on its journey by providing a first class service from collection to delivery.
Please also remember that some of these sites add their cost on top of what you think you will be paying so often it's cheaper to go direct to a professional motorcycle transporter.
We charge a non refundable reservation fee of 50% on booking for long distance runs. This is because we plan our routes in advance and if we receive a cancellation once our route is planned, this can mean we are running at a loss. On delivery of your motorcycle, the other 50% of the agreed quote is due.
We will send over your quote by WhatsApp Business or e-mail and agree the date for collection and delivery of your motorbike. This e-mail quote will also include our bank details for payment. Once payment has been received, we will confirm that with a confirmation message and get in touch with you re date for transportation. If it's our standard service, we will fill the van for that route and then let you know when we will be in the area.
No, your motorcycle will not be left unattended in the van and will only be stored at our facility as mutually agreed on booking.
Our main collection and deliveries are in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. We are based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Mainly, we cover locations in East Anglia and central eastern England, however we can quote for work further afield across mainland UK.
