Eric, the owner has over 35 years of mechanical expertise and a commitment to caring for your pride and joy from pick up to drop off. Eric is known by his family, friends and fellow bikers for his keen eye (some of us would say picky or obsessive), his immaculate bikes and the fact that he is an exceptional mechanic, basically he can fix anything with an engine but motorbikes are his passion. After 35 years in the trade, he thought it was time to slow down a bit and take life a bit easier, obviously motorbikes were never not going to be a part of his future hence ETS Motorbike Transport was born.
So what makes ETS Motorbike Transport stand out?
Book a day convenient to you for collection and delivery (pre-booked) Monday to Friday - some Saturdays and Sundays can be arranged by prior agreement. We can sometimes offer same day or next day delivery which is dependent on previously confirmed bookings.
Eric is a qualified Mechanic and has been for over 35 years. He is also a fellow biker. His love of motorcycles began when he was old enough to swing his leg over a pushbike and then motorbike - he still rides both today.
Only one motorbike transported at any one time - your motorbike will be treated as if it were our own. Photos and a Video will be taken of your purchase. The motorbike will be started from cold and a pre load check completed before loading.
You will be kept updated throughout the collection and delivery process.
Our insurance is specifically for Motorcycles in Transit up to 30k which can be increased if needed. We do not use sign written vans and we use GPS Trackers.
Once loaded into the van, your motorbike will be secured in a wheel chock using a tyre fix system, tie downs and brake locked for added security during transit, straps will not touch the body work. This system ensures no damage to any part of the motorcycle that can be associated with conventional strapping methods.

Yes, it will be and we will keep you fully informed on the run up to collection and throughout delivery.
Yes, this will be agreed at the time of booking and payment so you will know exactly when your motorbike is being collected and delivered to you. There will be no big waits or wondering what day it will arrive.
Eric, from start to finish as we do not outsource although it might be Emma (Eric's wife and also a fellow biker) who types up the quotation and deals with the administration side of things.
Most definitely. Eric has 35 years experience in the trade and has a keen eye so there is no one better to check over your new purchase. We will do a pre load check of the bike to ensure it is as described on your booking form, have it started from cold, check for any obvious defects and ensure it comes with the additional items you have requested we collect (eg) panniers, spare wheel or additional bits sold with the bike. Eric will also video your motorbike and send you the video before he loads the motorcycle into the van. We will not take any liability for cosmetic or mechanical defects, however if Eric feels you have been misled by the seller, he will contact you.
Yes we do, up to a radius of 30 miles of Bury St Edmunds however your motorcycle must be free wheeling. This service is offered during working hours as advertised on our website is subject to Eric being available ie not on another delivery or recovery.
Yes we do. Obviously we encourage customers to book their preferred date in advance. However, sometimes that isn't always possible and we know as bikers ourselves, that when you've done the deal, you want the bike as soon as possible. So if you've just bought a new motorbike and want it delivering the same day or next day, please fill in a 'quote' form and select the date you would like and we'll get back to you asap with a price and confirmation if we can collect and deliver your new motorbike for you.
Yes absolutely, we only collect one motorcycle at a time to ensure a first class service from collection to delivery.
We will send over your quote by e-mail and agree the date for collection and delivery of your motorbike. This e-mail quote will also include our bank details for payment. Once payment has been received, we will confirm the date you have booked and that payment has been received.
As part of the Motorcycle Delivery Service, we will already have made contact with the seller to arrange a time and confirm collection details. We will also have requested the motorbike is not started before we arrive so we can start the engine from cold. We will then take pictures and a video and send it to the buyer.
If the buyer has not already paid for the motorbike, they pay the seller and the motorbike will then be loaded onto the van using a ramp and tyre fix system, handlebar tie downs and the front brake will be locked for added security during transit. This system ensures no damage to any part of the bike that can be associated with conventional strapping methods.
The buyer will then receive a text message with a picture of the bike loaded into the van and an approximate ETA for their motorbike delivery. If there is traffic or a hold up on the route, you will be contacted and kept informed at all times.
Once at the delivery address, the motorbike will be unloaded and you will be asked if we can take a photo of the bike for our portfolio - no number plates will be shown in the photos.
No, your motorcycle will not be left unattended in the van nor will it be stored overnight as we collect and deliver on the same day even if we have to work late or there is traffic on route.
Mainly, we cover locations in central and eastern England, however we can quote for work further afield across mainland UK.
